The mission of New Hampshire Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation is to assist eligible New Hampshire citizens with disabilities secure suitable employment and financial and personal independence by providing rehabilitation services.
NHVR provides services to both Individuals with Disabilities and Employers.
People with disabilities can work and take advantage of the opportunities available to the citizens of New Hampshire. Yet they face barriers that prevent them from achieving their goals. Vocational Rehabilitation assists persons with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.
Vocational Rehabilitation is a joint State/Federal program that seeks to empower people to make informed choices, build viable careers, and live more independently in the community.
New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation (NHVR) is a division of the Department of Education that helps persons with disabilities help themselves to get a job, keep the job, and develop a life time career. NHVR has seven regional offices throughout the state designed to assist persons who have physical, mental, emotional and learning disabilities
For many Americans with disabilities, Independent Living means freedom – the freedom to make choices in their lives taking an active part in daily living at home and in the community, which some people take for granted, can be difficult for a person with a significant disability. Independent Living programs can help overcome barriers; especially those that impede a person’s ability to pursue activities of his/her own choice. A variety of services are available in New Hampshire to assist people with disabilities in achieving their personal life choices and goals.

Castagna Consulting Group has worked with NHVR to design and facilitate the modifications to homes of qualified individuals under this program. Innovation, ingenuity, and practical solutions are the usual procedures in coming up with solutions that the disabled require to be able to function in their home. In the past we have custom made work spaces to accommodate wheelchair bound individuals, automated systems to operate doors and entrances, installation of wheelchair lifts and ramps and bathroom modifications have all been part of the work that we have done for the many clients of this program. We have been challenged with having to solve these issues with a conservative budget,.
